The Nature Conservancy, Texas Field Office

The Nature Conservancy’s Texas Field Office works across the state to preserve the lands and waters of Texas. With 37 Texas nature preserves and conservation properties and more than 100 private landowner partnerships, we have to date protected more than 878,000 acres in Texas.

How We Work
There's a lot of ground to cover in Texas, and plenty of water to boot. In order to achieve lasting conservation success across this great big state, we employ a number of tools and strategies. By no means does this list reflect the full extent of our work, but it'll get you up to speed on the basics of how we go about doing what we go about doing.

Mission and Vision Statement
The mission of The Nature Conservancy is to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends.
Our vision is a world where the diversity of life thrives, and people act to conserve nature for its own sake and its ability to fulfill our needs and enrich our lives.
