Kittatinny Ridge, Pennsylvania

• The A. T. runs along the Kittatinny Ridge for 70% of its length in Pennsylvania. This stretch of the Trail is rich with cultural assets, recreational opportunities, and ecological values. Audubon has identified the Ridge as an internationally important bird area. There has been increasing pressure for wind and cell towers and pipeline crossings for transport of Marcellus Shale natural gas. The Kittatinny Coalition is an established coalition of diverse partners focused on the natural and cultural resources of the Kittatinny Ridge.
