NRCS Habitat Cost Assistance Programs

Cost assistance programs are available to Texas landowners and farmers who want to improve wildlife habitat on their property and who meet certain eligibility requirements. Habitat improvements could include practices such as removing invasive species, fencing cattle out of creeks, and planting native wildflowers that benefit pollinators.
The Natural

Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) offers a voluntary Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) that provides financial assistance to agricultural producers that implement beneficial conservation practices to improve the water, plant, soil, and other resources on their lands.
NRCS also has another program for landowners interested in improving wildlife habitat on their lands called the Wildlife Habitat Incentive Program (WHIP).

Please see these NRCS websites to find out if you may be eligible for either of these voluntary cost assistance programs.
