Project Description

The North Coast Land Conservancy protected a significant portion of the remaining healthy estuarine ecosystem of the Neawama River. The Neawanna wetlands, located at the head of the Necanicum estuary, are relatively intact considering its location and the history of development in the area. This acquisition of 58.54 acres of habitat ensures the future protection of these invaluable resources for the people of Oregon.
