This data represents sites along the Texas Gulf Coast where colonial waterbird rookeries are located. The dataset was created in 1994-1995 and updated in 2008. Polygonal areas representing colonial waterbird (gulls, terns, wading birds) rookeries in Texas coastal counties and bays. Defined and digitized by TGLO personnel in cooperation with representatives of Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Texas Colonial Waterbird Society. Data are subject to revision and may not reflect present occurrence of species.
