The Land Trust of Danbury

Overview

Our Mission

The Land Trust of Danbury is an all-volunteer, nonprofit conservation organization with the sole mission of protecting Danbury?s natural areas and quality of life. All of our activities relate to that mission. Accordingly: ? We seek to permanently protect properties with significant conservation value. ? We educate the general public and, in particular, landowners on the extraordinary value of conservation, including substantial tax benefits. Also, we advise landowners of alternative conservation strategies. ? We manage our existing properties ? including clearing of invasive exotics, maintaining existing trails and establishing new trails.

Update Your Profile Page

The information displayed on our current land trust pages is drawn directly from the Land Trust Alliance’s member directory. We draw from this single source of data to keep you from having to duplicate efforts. If you would like to edit this information, you can make your updates using this form. Your changes will take effect – both on the Alliance's website and LandScope – within a couple days.

We’ll soon complete an upgrade that will enable land trusts to add other material, such photos and descriptions of  featured projects or marquee initiatives, as shown in this example.

As always, we invite you to contact us with your questions, concerns, or comments!
