Grassy Hill Natural Area Preserve
This 1,440-acre preserve encompasses much of a three-mile long ridge in the western Piedmont and harbors several rare plant species and a series of rare plant communities. A six-mile hiking trail system and parking area are available with the trailhead located within the town limits of Rocky Mount, Virginia.
