Dameron Marsh and Hughlett Point Natural Area Preserves
Dameron Marsh and Hughlett Point are so close in proximity that they’re often referred to in the same sentence. The natural communities and rare species are similar at each, so they are managed in much the same way. Both preserves are located on the Chesapeake Bay and support the federally threatened northeastern beach tiger beetle. Birding trails and observation platforms are available to the visiting public at these two preserves on Virginia’s Northern Neck.
For more information on these preserves, including directions, visitation information and access to a preserve guide factsheets, please visit our website at Dameron Marsh NAP or Hughlett Point NAP
