How will LandScope America benefit conservation?
For environmental groups, land trusts, local, state and federal agencies, foundations, landowners . . . regardless of your role in the land-protection community, LandScope America can enhance your understanding of conservation issues and priorities and help align your work towards action and investment, maximizing conservation value.
In partnership with the Land Trust Alliance, we’ve reached out to local and state land trusts to learn what resources and tools they are seeking to do their jobs better. Land trusts can have a direct role in creating the LandScope America experience by adding your voice to this initiative.
Public agencies at all levels of government invest several billion dollars each year in land conservation. LandScope America will aim to provide information that increases the effectiveness of these investments, and also ask you to share what you know so others can learn from your expertise.
Most land in America is private, managed by farmers, ranchers, and private timberland owners. LandScope America can provide information about the conservation value of your land and options for protecting it.
