Description
Predicted mussel richness depicted for 39 species of mussels, based on individual conservative models for each species, using model predictions for those passing validation (31 of 39) and observed locations only for those not passing validation. Once each species model is created, all models/observations are summed by stream segment to create this layer of predicted richness.

These data are available for viewing but not, at this time, available in downloadable GIS format.

This layer could be used to identify freshwater streams of biodiversity significance across the state that might be suitable conservation targets.
