Description

The Delaware Protected Lands dataset is a subset of the Delaware Outdoor Recreation Inventory (ORI).  The ORI is a compilation of parcels throughout the state that are used either for recreational purposes or have some type of protective status that inhibits development.    The Delaware Protected Lands dataset includes only the parcels that are afforded some level of protection or are in public ownership.  The database includes all publicly and privately owned protected lands (Federal, State, County, Municipal and private conservation) regardless of whether or not they are open to public access. The dataset includes properties that are owned fee simple and properties under private conservation easements.
