Overview

Our Mission

The mission of Friends of Alta is to protect the environment of Alta, including watershed and wildlife habitat areas; to preserve Alta's unique character and heritage; and to encourage stewardship and sustainability of Alta's environment and community.

Our Focus

Historic_Cultural (VI); Open_Space (EI); Urban (SWI); Farm_Ranch (NI); Natural (EI); Recreation (VI); Water (EI); Forests (NI) Our small Land Trust is focused on areas within the Town of Alta boundaries at the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon, and more specifically the Albion Basin as the headwaters to Little Cottonwood Creek and culinary watershed.
