To protect and preserve the land, waters, scenic beauty, plants, wildlife, biodiversity, and natural communities of the Big Thicket; and to promote respect for and enjoyment of the rural character and culture of the Big Thicket region through encouragement of land stewardship values that promote sustainable communities.
