This project enhances Utah’s Wildlife Action Plan to where it serves as a strategic guide for planning and action by all land-and resource-management agencies, non-profit organizations and private groups with a stake in conserving Utah’s wildlife or their habitats.

Our goal is to enhance Utah’s Wildlife Action Plan to make it a more strategic, guiding document for conservation of the state’s wildlife and their habitats.
Progress: We have completed the project's first phase, the identification of conservation “Action Areas” -- a set of locations that collectively contains “enough” occurrences of priority wildlife habitats and species in the state. The second phase of fine-scale Conservation Action Planning is underway with partners in five Action Area locations.
